Aeriel is a law clerk with Kagan Binder and will join the firm as an attorney following law school graduation in May 2024. Aeriel received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry with minors in both Biology and Mathematics. Consequently, her practice emphasizes both chemical and biological technologies with respect to preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. and internationally. In connection with her undergraduate studies, Aeriel served as an officer for the Student American Chemical Society. In law school, Aeriel has served as an officer of the Black Law Students Association and has been active with the Patent Pathways program and the Casimir Jones Life Sciences Patent Academy. She is a member of the Student Bar Association, the Business Law Network, the Intellectual Property Law Society, the Law Association for Women. Aeriel holds several certifications relating to advanced legal research and serves as the LexisNexis Student Representative. Her certifications include, the Lexis+ Proficiency and Practice-Ready Certification, the Westlaw Advanced Legal Research Certification, and the Westlaw Transactional Research Certification. Aeriel was Head of the Claims Department for Brown & Riding Insurance Services, Inc., where she worked directly with the General Counsel to prepare, revise and manage brokerage and non-disclosure agreements, handle documentation and responses to subpoena requests, conduct quarterly audits to ensure compliance with ISO-9001 certification, administer quality control for record keeping. Aeriel also has served as mediator to resolve claim dispute issues in the insurance industry.
