Alison is a registered patent attorney with almost 20 years of experience in patent law in chemical and chemical engineering technologies. Alison has worked at both large and small patent law firms in the Twin Cities, as well as in-house as an Intellectual Property lawyer for a global food and agricultural company. Before law school, she gained valuable industry experience at 3M, working as a manufacturing engineer and sourcing analyst.

Alison assists clients in securing patent rights in the U.S. and internationally. She prepares and prosecutes patent applications across a broad range of technology areas, including medical devices, food science, polymers, catalysts, nanoparticles, commercial HVAC systems, and dental products. Alison collaborates closely with clients, ranging from individual inventors to universities and large corporations, to maximize the value of their inventions. Her approach is rooted in a deep understanding of both the technical and legal landscapes, allowing her to deliver strategic patent solutions that protect and enhance her clients' innovations.
